❤️ HEROES AMONG US ❤️
**A 9/11 Remembrance & Grandparents Celebration**
Buena Vista families, we invite the heroes in our students’ lives to join us for a very special morning!
Join us by registering for the event at this link: 9/11 Breakfast - Guest Registration link
Friday, September 11
8:00–8:30 AM
Buena Vista Cafeteria
As we remember September 11 and prepare to celebrate Grandparents Day on Sunday, September 13, we want to recognize the people who show our children what courage, kindness, service, love, and helping others look like.
Grandparents, we especially hope you’ll join us! Grandparents and grandparent figures play such a special role in the lives of our Bobcats, and we would love to celebrate you alongside all of the heroes who make a difference in our students’ lives.
Our students are creating artwork and special projects about heroes, and our cafeteria will be transformed into a Heroes Among Us Gallery for our guests to enjoy.
Students are welcome to celebrate the heroes in their lives—grandparents, parents, family members, first responders, community helpers, military members, teachers, caregivers, and other special people.
🥐 Can You Help With Breakfast?
To help us provide breakfast for our visiting heroes, we would greatly appreciate donations of store-bought breakfast items, such as:
- Muffins
- Donuts
- Breakfast pastries
- Mini muffins or donut holes
Other individually portioned, store-bought breakfast treats
Donations may be brought to school Thursday, September 10 at afternoon pick-up or Friday, September 11 at morning drop-off.
Thank you for helping us make this a meaningful morning for our students and the people they love!
Come enjoy breakfast, visit our student gallery, and allow us to celebrate the Heroes Among Us. ❤️

📢APS Drop-Off/Pick-Up Lane Reminder!
To help keep traffic moving, we ask that parents/guardians using the drop-off/pick-up lane remain in their vehicles. If you need to get out of your car to assist your student, please park in a designated parking spot rather than stopping in the drop-off/pick-up lane. For the safety of all students, please ensure your student always exits/enters the vehicle on the sidewalk side. This is essential to prevent students from stepping into traffic or active driving lanes. 🚗🚘
Thank you for helping us keep our drop-off/pick-up routine safe and efficient!💛🥰

📢Rooms- Important Information!
We are excited to be rolling out this new communications tool for the 26-27 school year, but please be aware that as we transition to this tool, you will still be receiving information from your student's school and teacher via email. For families new to our district, updates to student emails are still happening, and as we finalize those updates, parents will begin to receive the Rooms alerts. No action is needed from you at this time.
Our goal is to keep our families informed and connected, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get everything finalized. Thank you
