Requirements:
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to pass a background check
All volunteer candidates must complete the district's volunteer Workshop.

Volunteer Coaches
In addition to seeking passionate individuals to volunteer in various capacities, Alamogordo Public Schools also welcome volunteer coaches to join our team. Volunteer coaches play a vital role in our extracurricular programs, offering their expertise, guidance, and support to student athletes.
Whether you have experience coaching a specific sport or are simply enthusiastic about helping students develop their skills and passion for athletics, there are opportunities available for you to get involved. Volunteer coaches have the chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of student athletes, not only helping them excel in their chosen sport but also instilling values such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance.
As a volunteer coach with Alamogordo Public Schools, you'll have the opportunity to work closely with students, providing mentorship and encouragement. This position requires an Athletic license. As part of the license requirements, you are required to pass the Fundamentals of Coaching and First Aid exams located at the link below (one-time requirement).
The exams are $45 each.
