Bio:
I am Manuela Sanchez, principal at Buena Vista Elementary. I have been at Buena Vista for the last 6 years. I have lived in Alamogordo for over 10 years now and I hope to stay here longer. 

I was born in El Paso, Texas, and grew up in New Mexico. I attended  Western New Mexico University where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in education. I then attended the University of Texas in El Paso.  Where I earned a Master’s Degree in both  Curriculum and Instruction and my Administrator’s License.  I have done many different things during my many years in Education. I have been a classroom teacher, a Technology Lead Teacher, an Instructional Coordinator, and an assistant principal at a Middle School. 

I have 2 children. My son followed in my footsteps and is also a school administrator and my daughter is the Deputy Director at Mesilla Valley Community of Hope.  I also have 7 amazing grandchildren.
